Honda rolls out home solar installation initiative

In a surprise move, Honda is now offering customers and would be customers in 14 states a real deal on installing solar at their home.

The New York Times reports Honda is making preferential financing available, often at no cost upfront to you, to put solar on your roof. We're talking about guaranteed savings! You end up either leasing or buying the solar on your roof.

Again, this is only available in 14 states. Those states include Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Isn't is funny that Florida is a glaring omission from that list? Florida had a law passed at the insistence of the power companies that makes the Sunshine State hostile to solar. Talk about true corruption and dirty money!

But solar is just about clean energy. You install it and you save money.

Why is Honda doing it? I have no idea. The initial launch will be 3,000 installations and there are possible expansion plans if.
